Southern Gutters FL cleans, repairs and installs gutters throughout Sunrise, roughly 15 minutes and 5 miles south-west of our North Lauderdale shop. Sunrise is really two cities side by side: 1960s ranch homes from the original Sunrise Golf Village on the east, and 1990s and 2000s association neighborhoods near the Sawgrass Expressway on the west. Each half calls for a different kind of gutter work, and we plan every visit around which half you live in.
Sunrise streets we cover, Sunrise Boulevard to the Sawgrass Expressway
We work every part of Sunrise. That includes the original Golf Village streets off Sunrise Boulevard and Oakland Park Boulevard, Springtree, Welleby and the large Sunrise Lakes condo community. Heading west, our crews cover the neighborhoods along Nob Hill, Pine Island and Hiatus roads, out past Sawgrass Mills to the homes closest to the Everglades edge.

Sunrise counted about 97,000 residents in the 2020 Census, and its growth marched steadily westward, from a 1.75-square-mile charter to more than 18 square miles through annexation. A drive along Oakland Park Boulevard from one city line to the other passes through nearly the whole history of South Florida suburban building.
Our work tracks that westward march: miter and end-cap repairs or seamless replacements on Golf Village ranches, building-by-building cleanings for the Sunrise Lakes and Springtree associations, and color-matched installs with pool-cage routing in the western HOAs, where wind off the Everglades edge drives palm debris into tile valleys.

From our North Lauderdale shop, crews head south on University Dr to Commercial and Oakland Park boulevards, then turn west toward the Sawgrass neighborhoods or east into the Golf Village streets.

Golf Village ranches in the east, tile-roof Sawgrass HOAs in the west
Developer Norman Johnson bought about 2,650 acres on what was then Broward's western fringe and incorporated Sunrise Golf Village in 1961. The name nearly became Sunset Village until early buyers decided that sounded too final, and residents trimmed it to Sunrise in 1971. Johnson drew crowds with an upside-down model house, furniture and car included, but the homes buyers actually got were modest single-story CBS ranches on slab, many with low shingle roofs and open carports.
Six decades later, those eastern houses often carry original or second-generation sectional gutters with leaking end caps and miters, fascia softened by years of overflow, and black olive or mango trees planted by the first owners. Repair or replace is the usual question on that side of town, and we answer it one run at a time rather than for the whole house.

West of University Drive the picture changes. Homes from the 1990s and 2000s have barrel or flat tile roofs, screened pool enclosures and HOA rules on exterior colors, so the work there is approved colors, gutters that suit a pool cage and outlets big enough for a tile roof's runoff. Rainy-season thunderstorms often build over the western suburbs in the afternoon, and wind pushes palm debris and leaves across the lakes into gutters.
Repair, replace or color-match: what does your side of Sunrise need?
In eastern Sunrise we spend a lot of time weighing repair against replacement, and our guide to gutter repair versus replacement shows how we make that call. Western neighborhoods lean toward color-matched installs and gutters over pool cages.
Booking a visit: Golf Village driveways or gated Sawgrass-area communities
Visits on the east side are straightforward: open driveways, single-story rooflines and a crew that can usually clean or measure the house in one stop. We walk the full perimeter, flush each downspout and press along the fascia by hand for soft spots before writing the quote.

In the gated neighborhoods to the west, we register with the gate ahead of time and confirm any HOA work-hour limits. For new gutters we supply the color name, profile and downspout layout for your architectural application, then schedule the install after approval. On pool-cage homes we look at where the roof drains onto the screen, which is often why enclosure panels sag or tear.

Common questions from Sunrise homeowners
Do eastern Sunrise 1960s homes need different gutters than western Sunrise HOAs?
Usually, yes. Eastern ranches have low shingle roofs and short runs where 5-inch seamless gutters and sound fascia fix most leaks. Western homes from the 1990s and 2000s have larger tile roofs, so we often suggest 6-inch gutters with bigger outlets, HOA-approved colors and careful routing where water meets a pool cage.
Can you get HOA approval paperwork for new gutters in Sunrise?
We prepare what the application asks for: color name and sample, profile, size, downspout locations and a written quote. Most associations want the homeowner to submit it, so you get a complete packet and we schedule installation once the committee approves. If your HOA lets a contractor submit, we can work with the management company.
How often should Sunrise homes near the Sawgrass clean their gutters?
Twice a year at minimum, in late spring before the rainy season and again in fall. Homes backing onto lakes or open land near the Sawgrass Expressway catch more wind-blown debris in summer storms, so a mid-summer check is worth adding. Tile roofs with palms nearby usually settle on three cleanings a year.
Do you install gutters over screened pool enclosures in Sunrise?
Yes. On many western homes the roof drains straight onto the screen roof of the cage, stretching panels and sheeting water onto the deck. We hang seamless gutters along the roof edge above the enclosure and route downspouts clear of the frame. Our pool cage gutter guide explains the options.
